The Domestic Poet

Thank you for coming to my website! This is my first website. It began as an easier way to access my poems, and allow my friends(personal critics),to see my latest poems and e-mail their comments.

On this site, you will find a few of my poems, my favorite links, and some more stuff that I haven't added yet.

I know some of you are wondering, why The Domestic Poet? The poem below, should answer that. However, the poems you will find on the next pages are mostly children. My daughter, Emmeline, inspired them.

The Domestic Poet

I am the great domestic poet,
Engineering my poems, for you to read.
The ones of joyful bliss,
While starchiing and ironing.

Tossing that garden salad,
I see a burning torch,
In my husband's eyes.
I feel a love poem emerging,
All thirty lines.

Taking out the gabarge,
I can see he really cares.
Odors lingering, you need not ask
It's a poem about despair.

No matter what the chore,
Or the deed, that's being done,
America is reading a poem,
Written by, The Domestic One.
